Wattog
here, this time blogging about Gospel things.
Now there are a lot of things to say about the Gospel of Jesus
Christ. First of all, the Gospel of
Jesus Christ is good news for the whole wide world, because the Gospel tells us
that Christ came into the world to save us.
In
this day and age we hear news all the time and from many kinds of sources. . . yes the age of town criers and carrier pigeons
is long gone. We get news about current
events instantly today with the help of the internet and social media and not
all the events are good! God news is good news for us. We just have to hear about it and then we
have to believe it.
Here is this blog’s
list about Gospel things. As always,
please read the entirety of the text surrounding the Scripture to better
understand the meaning.

Fascinating
fact:
There are 4 gospels. The Gospel of
Matthew is the 1st book in the New Testament. The Gospel of Mark the 2nd book,
the Gospel of Luke, the 3rd book and the Gospel of John, the 4th
book.
The last verses in
Matthew . . . Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in
the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to
observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you
alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. 28:19-20
The last verses in Mark . . . And he said unto them, Go ye into
all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and
is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And
these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out
devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if
they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on
the sick, and they shall recover. So then after the Lord had spoken unto them,
he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God. And they went
forth, and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them, and confirming the
word with signs following. Amen. 16:15-20
The last verses in Luke . . .
And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the
city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high. And he led them
out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them. And it
came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up
into heaven. And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen. 24:49-53
The last verse in John & one
of my personal favorites. . . And there are also many other things which Jesus
did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that even the
world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen. 21:25
Excerpt from Heir series book, An Heir Wears. . .
Jesus
used a net and the sea to describe how He will separate good and bad souls at
the end of the world.
Again,
the kingdom of heaven is like unto a net, that was cast into the sea, and
gathered of every kind: Which, when it was full, they drew to shore, and sat
down, and gathered the good into vessels, but cast the bad away. So shall it be
at the end of the world: the angels shall come forth, and sever the wicked from
among the just, Matthew 13:47-49
Notice
how Jesus says. . .sever the wicked from
among the just. We want to help men
see how to be just before God.
Paul
preached about how to be just before God.
.
. . But he [Jesus Christ], whom God raised again, saw no corruption. Be it
known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached
unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified
from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses. Acts
13:32-39
When
Jesus fed the multitudes physical bread, He was also demonstrating how to feed
the multitudes spiritual bread or Truth.
He gives to us the bread ‘Truth’
and we give the bread ‘Truth’ to the
multitudes then all will eat and all will be filled. The truth about God’s great love for us will
truly satisfy hungry souls.
All
Scripture from the King James version of the Holy Bible unless otherwise noted.
