wattog here blogging
about the THINGS of God again. Look at this verse I dug up for you this time,
it is truly an amazing one!
And there are also many other THINGS
which Jesus did, the which, if they should be written every one, I suppose that
even the world itself could not contain the books that should be written. Amen.
John 21:25
Now that is an awful lot
of things He did, I’d say!
Even though this
blogging bit and other online writing seems to be taking over in the literary
world, there are still lots and lots of books out there and we know there are many
different kinds of THINGS written in these books. There are books about fictional THINGS; books
about governmental THINGS; books about cultural THINGS; books about the THINGS
of the rich and famous, etc. . .
The Holy Bible is the
Book of all books and contains heavenly THINGS. . .the THINGS of God.
As I told you in the first blog, we geologists love to dig, and I just love
digging in this new site I found. . .the Holy Bible.
Fascinating Fact: The Holy Bible mentions books. Here are some of them:
The books of generations, like Adam’s Genesis 5:1 like Christ’s Matthew 1:1
The book of the covenant. Exodus 24:7
The book of the wars of the Lord. Numbers 21:14
The book of the law. Joshua 1:8
The book for our tears. Psalms 56:8
The judgment books. Daniel 7:10,
Revelation 20:12
The Lamb’s book of life. Revelation 21:27
I submit to you that, when it’s all said and done, we all are going to
want our names written in that last book. . .the Lamb’s book of life. We know the Lamb is Jesus Christ. We will
discuss why Christ is referred to as the Lamb of God in another blog.
The
next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin
of the world. John 1:29
Christ came to this earth to show us the THINGS of His Father, in fact,
He was the one that introduced the concept of Creator God becoming ‘our Father’,
remember we talked about that some in the
first blog.
Jesus told His disciples.
For
the Father loveth the Son, and sheweth him all THINGS that himself doeth: and he will shew him greater works than
these, that ye may marvel. John 5:20
In this blog I’ve dug up some truly fascinating THINGS written in the Holy
Bible that Jesus Christ did while He walked upon this earth. The THINGS He did demonstrated just Who the
Creator of all THINGS is really like, not
what people say He’s like or think He’s like. For this blog, I dug primarily in the gospels
because they speak a lot about what Christ did while here on the earth. What Christ did then, He has always done and
will always do.
Jesus
Christ the same yesterday, and
today, and forever. Hebrews 13:8
Like in the first blog, I have shortened the following verses for you,
but it would be to your advantage to read the entirety of the text surrounding the
verses. These are just some of the
things written that Christ did more than 2,000 years ago as He walked by the
Sea of Galilee, the streets of Jerusalem, etc. . .

He breathed on His disciples, and said to them,
receive ye the Holy Ghost: John 20:22

the accusing mob John 8:3-11

man who was blind from birth John 9:1-25

the end times Matthew chapter 24

He freed Mary called Magdalene from seven devils Luke 8:2
In the
crowds, He noticed the little man up in the tree Luke 19
He amazed people
by showing God’s mighty power Luke 9:43
He forgave a
thief Luke 23:42-43
He
did all THINGS well Mark 7:37
Even though Christ performed
all of these miraculous and caring THINGS for the people, there were some people
that didn’t like all the THINGS he was doing and they were bent on stopping Him.
Christ was rejected of
the elders, the chief priests, and the scribes. . .
And when the chief
priests and scribes saw the wonderful THINGS
that he [Christ] did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying,
Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased, Mark 8:31;
Matthew 21:15
I submit to you that
there are many people still today that do not like the things Christ stands for
and are still trying to destroy His reputation.
They are doing the same things they did back then. Things like:
False accusations Mark
15:3
Trying to trip Him up by
asking Him difficult questions Mark 12:13
These tactics are still
used today I’d say! There are hard
questions out there, like this one. . . why does God let bad things happen to
good people? That one question alone has
kept many away from the kingdom of God I think.
Christians are accused of things like hypocrisy and hate more and more
today it seems. Now maybe some
Christians are hypocrites and maybe some Christians do hate, but not all of
them, but people are quick to put them all in the same mold, you know what I
mean? What’s worse than that is they
spread the hard questions and the accusations all around. These are the kind of things that deter
people from entering into God’s amazing grace.

Heir Wears, from the Heir Books
series.
I
am convinced that THINGS down here on earth reveal to us THINGS about heaven
above. The Holy Bible is the Book of all
books and filled with beautiful truths about God’s great love for us, way too
many to be put in just one book, except for the Holy Book that is. Holy God is wise enough to put the truths He
wants us to know about life in one Book and He did so when he had His Words
written down for us.
For
whatsoever THINGS were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and
comfort of the scriptures might have hope. . Romans 15:4
