The things God made

The word of the day is make.  Wattog here again, this time blogging about the things God made, but first of all what are some of the things man makes?  We can make merry, make a living, make a name for ourselves, make a pie, etc. . .but we cannot make any of these things without God for God is the Maker of all things.  God made the world we live in and the very things He made can help us better understand His eternal power and Godhead. Romans 1:20

God makes covenant with Abraham, we know now that Jesus Christ has become our better covenant established on better promises.
And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee. Genesis 17:7, Hebrews 8:6

Moses makes the tabernacle after God shows him the pattern for it, we know now that Jesus Christ has become the tabernacle by which God lives within us and we in God.
Who serve unto the example and shadow of heavenly things, as Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount. Hebrews 8:5

God had Noah make an ark, we know now that Jesus Christ has become our ark from death.

And it came to pass at the end of forty days, that Noah opened the window of the ark which he had made: Genesis 8:6

We can learn about God’s eternal power and Godhead by the things God made.

We can learn about God’s eternal power and Godhead by observing the very lights He made in the sky.
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. Genesis 1:16

We can learn about God’s eternal power and Godhead by watching all the animals He made survive, give food to their young, care for their young.
And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:25

We can learn about God’s eternal power and Godhead by watching the flowers and trees He made grow, give fruit, and shade.
And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Genesis 2:9

Sometimes, not all of the times, we can learn about God’s eternal power and Godhead by watching man that He made in His image. I say sometimes when it comes to man because sometimes man does not reflect an accurate image of God because of man’s sin, which is not at all like God.
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27

Love & unity between a man and woman who have a family is an image we see down here that accurately reflects the image of Creator God.  God is Love, but God is not necessarily the love we learn to know down here, the love God is good. 1 John 4:16, 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Man was made to reflect God.  Man works.  Man rest. Man loves.  If man hates man is not reflecting God’s image.  Hate comes in many forms.  We pervert God’s image when we hate, when we are selfish, when we are greedy, etc…These things come from fallen nature.

Christ came to truthfully reflect the image of God.
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: . . . Colossians 1:13-17

Christ was made in the likeness of man to show us the image of God. .  . in Christ, we can be recreated to reflect God’s image.
. . . God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, Galatians 4:4

made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: Philippians 2:7

Christ Jesus made higher than the heavens. . .
For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens; Hebrews 7:26

Christ shows God’s creative power
By making water. . .wine.
When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and knew not whence it was: (but the servants which drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom, John 2:9

The enemy knew Christ was God and wanted Him to prove it…

And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread. Matthew 4:3

Christ shows us God’s creative power by making us whole
But Jesus turned him about, and when he saw her, he said, Daughter, be of good comfort; thy faith hath made thee whole. And the woman was made whole from that hour. Matthew 9:22

Christ shows us God’s creative power by making our blind eyes see,
When he had thus spoken, he spat on the ground, and made clay of the spittle, and he anointed the eyes of the blind man with the clay, John 9:6

Christ shows us God’s creative power by showing us love,
I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me. John 17:23

Fascinating fact: Sometimes men get things turned around and begin worshipping the things God made.  Paul must have ran into that very problem because I dug up a letter he wrote to the saints in Rome.  He mentioned idol worship and sexual impurity. . .both things pervert the image of God with the things God made.

Paul started off on a good note. . .that’s always a good thing to do.  He told them the Gospel of Christ had the power to save all that would believe it, but he also told them about the wrath of God, that it would be revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness.  He told them that the truth about God had been shown in them by the things God had made, but instead of seeing the truth about God in the things God had made, some of them had took the very things God had made and used them to distort God’s image.  They did this by taking things like man, birds, animals and creeping things and made images to worship. By doing this…..they were essentially changing the truth of God (His eternal power and Godhead) into a lie by worshipping and serving the creature more than the Creator.  Paul told them God would have to give, those that did such things, up to the uncleanness and vile affections that were within them, and that it was through the lusts of their own hearts, they were dishonoring their bodies.  Apparently, men and women were going against nature by lusting after those of the same sex.  Paul referred to this behavior as unseemly or inappropriate and he said they would receive in themselves the payment fit for such error. He also told them that since they didn’t like to keep God in their thoughts, God would have to give them over to degenerate minds as well. . .Without God’s help, regeneration of their minds, they would be filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, be backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,  without understanding, covenant breakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful.  Romans chapter 1
Paul did go on to tell them not to judge those that did such things though, because all have sinned and come short of the glory of God (3:23).  He told them how God made a way for man to be saved and how He showed His great love toward man, because it was while man was in sin that Christ died for man ( 5:8) and also that Christ makes man able to have victory over sin (6:6) and gives them power to live for God (6:10,18) & just as the payment of sin is death, the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ (6:23)
Excerpt from Heir series book, Heir, the 12 Stones and the Douloobury Castle

When I got my first whiff of the new crayons and looked upon the row upon row of colorful tips, the possibilities seemed endless to me!  I could transform the pages anyway I saw fit.
I was no rebel when it came to coloring back then.  I colored the leaves on the trees green… and I colored the sky in the air blue.  I knew these things were these colors, because my eyes had seen that these things were these colors.  I followed God’s lead as far as my coloring went, even though I didn’t really realize He was the One I was following, at the time.

When God created the earth and the heavens, and everything in them, one of the things He used was color.  God colored our natural world in just the right way. Color sways us to flowers, to trees, to birds
God adores harmony; we can see harmony in colors.  Color brings harmony to the heavens and the earth.

God is Love....His Love brings harmony to our lives.
Consider the LOVE of God as described for us in the Holy Bible, in 1 Corinthians, chapter 13.   Just as we can take all the right colors and fill in the black and white images of a coloring book and make the pages more beautiful, God can take all the attributes of His great LOVE and fill in all the voids in our hearts and make our lives more beautiful.
